Breast taping?

A while back there was a discussion re. breast taping here in LJ-land. I tried it without success. I couldn't get it to stay up.

Well, now I need it to work. I need to flatten my chest significantly without sending the girls to my waist - it's radically uncomfortable.

Any suggestions? It will not show so modern methods are welcome, but the sport's bra has been tried and it doesn't flatten so much as just make a uni-boob.

Depending on required shape, there has been some luck with wearing corded or other softish stays, and just not "fluffing.
