What fun!

Ok, I'm thinking of making that acid green suit Rita Skeeter wears in HP-GoF but I don't have my dvd yet. Do you think it's silk charmeuse, stretch silk, something else?

Also, does anyone remember how long teh skirt is? None of the piblicity or set shots I can find of it show the bottom of the skirt (nor shoes, for that matter).

Oh, I so want that suit! I think it's silk charmeuse... and as I recall the skirt went to below-knee (above mid-calf).

Yeah, it looks like charmeuse but the jacket is pretty constructed. I don't know what I'll line it with to give it more body and not show lines where the shoulder pads are, etc.
I know the skirt length goes at least to below the knee, but I don't remember if it has some kind of kick pleat, or fishtail, or something. ARGH!

This pic shows it's at least mid-calf but then I'm stuck.
I got an adaptable pattern for the coat at lunch today and as long as I start on that and get enough fabric, I'll be able to put off the skirt until I get my dvd.

I was thinking it was silk satin but silk charmeuse might be a better guess. I hope you do make this - I think it's such a fun costume! All of her outfits were fun actually. :>
