Ok, so I've finally got the skirt attached on Pinkie and it's lookin' mighty fiiiiine. :-) LOL! I had to give up my nap-time to do it but it's on with just the front edges needing finishing.
My dilemma is now the sleeves. I really wanted to have a go at shoulder ruffs and a standing collar, but 99% of the portraits I'm looking at have a basically solid piece sleeve from shoulder to wrist with almost no decoration to go with the shoulder ruff. Sleeves that have some sort of paning over the shoulder or piecing, etc. are earlier and have no shoulder ruff.
At issue is how much fabric I have. I have enough to do a paned sleeve head or some sort of pieced sleeve, but not a solid sleeve. But I really wanted shoulder ruffs. I know I'm repeating myself here, I'm kinda scattered tonight, but has anyone seen a pretty sleeve that's pieced with shoulder ruffs?
