1. Five-eighths, one-half or three-eighths?
Closer to 1/4". I just go by the edge of my presser foot and that's 1/4".

2. Linen, cotton, wool or silk?
Can't beat silk. As much as I hate cheap dupioni, I think nothing in this world is as lovely as a heavy silk twill, or a crisp shot taffeta. Oh, I'm sorry, was I drooling again?

3. Stripes, solids or prints?
I like solids with texture. My 16c beginnings keep me from really getting into prints.

4. Drape or draft?
Some of both. Depends on the piece I'm making.

5. Pins or weights?
Pins. I've never used weights. I like the idea of them but without a proper working surface they're not really feasible.

6. Nipper or seam ripper?
Seam ripper for almost everything. Chisel for button holes. I only use my nippers if I have too many threads to rip out and the fabric is delicate so chances are I'd rip that instead of the fabric.

7. Pleats or ruffles?
*sigh* definitely pleats.

8. Wheel or scissors?
Again, the wheel I'm sure is great if you have a proper work surface and mat. I do not and when sprawled across the floor or dining table, I must resort to scissors.

9.Princess seams or darts?
My 16c roots are showing again, but neither. I prefer rectangular construction. But I like both princess or darts for the appropriate garment. Darts seem to be easier for me to get right.

10. Flat-line or bag-line?
Flat. Bag linig never lays smoothly for me and I hate having to make everything twice when I'm barely working on stuff as it is.

11. Serge or French seam?
Of the two, I like serging just for speed and ease. My preferred seam is lapped, though

12. Invisible or original sliding?
LOL! I have no idea! I don't even know how many years it's been since I put in a zipper. I remember hating both kinds when I was young and trying to make clothing.

13. Hooks & eyes or lacings?
Whichever works on the gown. Some call for lacing, some call for hook & eye, but either should be done tastefully and in keeping with the style of the dress. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING ever calls for big brass grommets.

14. Corset for comfort, or corset for look? (And no, you can’t claim both.)
People actually will chose comfort? Sure, corsets can be comfortable but the gotta look right first and foremost!

15. Bind, pipe or face?
Hm. I very much love the look of piping but I usually end up binding because I don't want to have to take the extra step of making the piping. Facing is just pure evil. Don't like it modern clothing; don't like it in period clothing.
