Cat angst.

My daughter just had her doctor's checkup to get ready for school and is a very healthy girl! YAY! The only issue is that she has always had a lot of *ahem* snot in the mornings so they gave her an allergy panel.

The only thing she came back high on was cats. And it's a high enough reaction that we have to get rid of them because they are harmful to my baby's health.

I would be ever grateful to anyone who would give a good home to either or both of my cats. They are both 13 years old and Sohpie the Siamese is a diabetic requiring insulin shots. She's a really sweet cat and very affectionate. Tim was a feral cat and is rather odd (Fradey-cat in the dictionary has a picture if Tim!) but he's very soft and healthy. Yeah, I know. My chances are slim, but I have to put it out there. I'll post pictures in a couple of days.

Oh, that's so sad! My husband developed a cat allergy kind of out of nowhere. We have all sorts of air filters and hepa vaccums and we keep the cat out of the bedroom which helps, but it's not a perfect solution. Sorry you have to find yours new homes. :-(

Are you sure girl? I have been allergic to cats my whole life--we have three. What she said above, plus, how about the shots (if you're covered)? Ask me about DDD when you see me.
