I do that all the time. Even to the point where this morning I woke up in fright and confusion because I was JUST finishing off my doublet which will go over that blue kirtle and discovered the wonderfully neat button holes which had been only 3/4 inch long was now over 6 inches wide as a HUGE hole!! All beautifully buttonholed around the hole but no way was it going to hold a button in place!
And for some bizarre reason it was now a light weight yellow gold silk instead a heavy weight ribbed silk Faille. Why did that happen???
I can't get on with sewing today (Saturday) as edmndclotworthy wants to go to Colchester (Blegh!) but hopefully I will be able to do so tonight providing that this horrid sore/dry throat goes away and doesn't turn into a fully blown cold (its been threatening for some time!).
I DO love your kirtle. Such a GORGEOUS colour and fit.

What the hell? How did that happen? And the wrong fabric, too? You either need some more sleep before you sew or to back away from the mind-altering substances. LOL!
Thank you again for the kirtle compliment - I consider you to be the Godess of Fit so I am very flattered by the kind words. :-)

Thankyou! But you stuff really is beautifully fitted too! And is always so gorgeous. I've been itching to see that gown of yours finished!!! ;-)
As to my dream!! Yes, I was wondering if something odd was in my food!! Though, thanks to the parrot persistently shrieking most nights at 3am I could probably do with the extra sleep as well!
What really got me was the change of colour from black to yellow. I can't WEAR yellow. It makes me look dreadfully jaundiced!
