I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all your answers so I thought it only fair I answer as well. :-)

Behind the cut, because I care...

1.       What curse word do you use the most?
As Ralphie said, “My father worked in profanity the way other artists work in oils.” I inherited my LOVE for swearing from my daddy and do entirely too much of it, but my most common profanity is a string of them that most often shoots out of me while driving… Goddamnmutherfuckerpussbucketpieceofshit. On occasion I’ll throw cock sucker in, too, just because I like how explosive it sounds.

2. Do you own an iPod?
I asked for a white Ipod nano for Christmas last year and actually got one!
J

3. What person on your flist do you talk to the most?
hmmmmm, I don’t know. Probably Sewphisticate or Sarahbellem or Pinkdiamond, but I’m not really sure.

4. What time is your alarm clock set to?
ugh. 6am, and it’s killing me. SOOO not a morning person!

5. Do you still remember the first person you kissed?
Yeah. Looking back now, I think he probably grew up to look like Sean Hannity, who’s nickname (The Vanilla Gorilla) is very fitting. He was a very nice boy, though, and had the lead in the school musical.

6. Do you remember where you were on 9/11/01?
Absolutely. We never watched TV in the morning but for some reason it was on and I was on the floor in my living room in front of it. I was pregnant at the time and my hubby is convinced that the stress of watching that contributed in no small way to the miscarriage of our first baby.

7. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture?
Totally context-specific. I like taking pictures of things I want to remember, but sometimes what I want to remember is how I looked at that moment, in those clothes, or whatever.

8. What was the last movie you watched?
The Polar Express on dvd. I thought it tried too hard, couldn’t decide what it wanted to be, and didn’t live up to the book.

9. Do any of your friends have children?
Many do and almost all of them are about the same age as ours.
J

10. Has anyone ever called you lazy?
Sometimes the truth hurts; in this case, not. I don’t mind being lazy too much, though I wish my lack of accomplishments was due more to laziness than exhaustion.

11. Do you ever take medication to help you fall asleep?
Never. I sometimes must resort to Hail Mary’s to shut off a very busy brain, but I don’t like the idea of taking meds to sleep.

12. What cd is currently in your cd player?
The Very Best of Cream

13. Do you prefer regular or chocolate milk?
I love regular milk as long as it’s really cold and doesn’t have anything in it; no chocolate, no cereal bits, nuthin’.

14. Has anyone told you a secret this week?
Yeah, but they announced it at the staff meeting the next day. We’re all getting flat screens! LOL!

15. When was the last time you had Starbucks?
I used to drink it every morning until I got this job. Now I get up so early I just make my own and drink it on the way.

16. Can you whistle?
I am the lamest whistler and I can only get sound whistling in.

17. What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Depends on what the guy is giving off. Women often dress whatever THEY think is their best asset and you often notice it first, no matter what else they got goin’ on. Same with guys but it’s usually more subtle.

18. What are you looking forward to?
Thanksgiving.

19. Did you watch cartoons as a child?
There are people who didn’t?

20. Do you own any band t-shirts?
I have a Cowboy Junkies shirt I got from a concert, and a Rolling Stones shirt I got from a random store. Those are probably the only two shirts I have with “stuff” on them at all.

21. What will you be doing in an hour?
Walking around a new suite in a building planning meeting.

22. Is anyone in love with you?
I am proud to say my hubby and daughter; other than that, I don't know.

23. What was the last song you heard?
Time is Running Out by Muse – ROCKIN’!!!

24. Last time you cried?
I cry during movies, operas, you name it. Now that I think of it, I got pretty choked up watching Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech during a PBS special on the 60's. It's almost like he knew what was goin to happen to him.

25. Are you on a desktop computer or a laptop?
Laptop in a docking station.

26. Are you currently wanting any piercings or tattoos?
There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t want more ink!!! I can’t get any more piercings really, because the only ones I want will show and aren’t acceptable in my office environment. But the ink, the INK! I have an extensive tattoo around my hips and I plan on it traveling up my back. I just haven’t had the time or funds to get more done. Did I mention my tattoo guy is HOT?

27. What’s the weather like?
Chilly and bright, just like it should be.

28. Would you ever date a girl/guy covered in tattoos?
I married one - well, he didn't have any then, but he sure does now; however, I should say that ink, like any art, is subject to taste. I’m really not into “old school” tattoos, jailhouse style, nor a random bunch of little things like a crazy quilt. I prefer well done original art, regardless of subject, and the Japanese style back/body pieces are amazing.

29. What did you do before this?
Went to dinner for my girl’s birthday, went to sleep, got up and worked all day.

30. When is the last time you slept on the floor?
No idea.

31. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?
I work best on 9 hours but never get it. Right now I’m running on about 6 a night and I don’t feel caught up until after nap time on Sundays.

32. Do you eat breakfast daily?
Yes, but “breakfast” can be anything from bacon & eggs to a Snickers bar.

33. Are your days fast-paced?
It’s the busy season for my work so they’re pretty full, even if they aren’t dramatic.

34. What did you do last night?
Took my daughter to dinner for her birthday, then let her pick whatever she wanted to watch, which turned out to be the Polar Express.

35. Do you use sarcasm?
What Never? No Never!

36. How old will you be turning on your next birthday?
I’ll never tell and it’s rude to ask.

37. Are you picky about spelling and grammar?
Usually, yes, annoyingly so, but then on quick emails or posts I often won’t bother to see if my brain worked faster than my fingers – for some reason, I have become incapable of correctly typing “the” and always end up with “teh.” I also like typing conversationally, like using gimme and wanna.

38. Have you ever been to six flags?
Hell yeah! Magic Mountain in Ventura. The last time I was there was about 3 months ago – perfect day, perfect coasters, short lines. Unfortunately, after about the 12 coaster I started to feel like I’d been beaten up so I couldn’t do all of them in one day.
L

39. Do you get along better with the same sex or the opposite sex?
Both or neither. It’s entirely personality dependent.

40. Do you like mustard?
Youbetcha! Plain old yellow all the way to Beaver spicy brown.
J

41. Do you sleep on your side?
My neck & hips are happiest if I stay on my back but I usually need to be on my side to fall asleep.

42. Do you watch the news?
Rarely. I get my news off the Internet.

43. How did you get one of your scars?
One day in high school two boys were fighting and surrounded by a circle of people watching (isn’t that nice?). One of them threw a screwdriver at the other, the crowd parted, and I was walking by at the wrong time. I got it right in the head just below my hairline over my right eyebrow and it is still a little raised bump that my brother-in-law likes to rub for luck. It bled like a mofo and everyone was freaking out that I was going to sue. I should have.

44. Who was the last person to make you mad?
Goddamnmutherfuckerpussbucketpieceofshit DRIVERS on the freeway!

45. Do you like anybody?
I like lots of people, dislike some people, and haven’t decided about lots of people.

46. What is the last thing you purchased?
Princess decorations and party favors for Claire’s birthday party.

47. What side of the heart do you draw first?
Right side.

48. Can you dive without plugging your nose?
Yes but I don’t like to.

49. What color is your razor?
Whatever color is on sale, currently silver.

50. What is your blood-type?
I don’t know – isn’t that odd?

51. Who would you want to be tied to for 24 hours?
If I must chose someone it would have to be hubby.

52. What is a rumor someone has spread about you?
I’m wracking my brain and can’t think of one. Maybe they just don’t get back to me…

53. How do you feel about carrots?
Raw=good, cooked=bad, juiced=unnatural (I can’t abide the flavor in my mouth without the crunch).

54. How many chairs at the dining room table?
6 in the set but 2 are usually in the office unless we have guests.

55. Which is the best Spice Girl?
Scary. Definitely Scary Spice. Did I tell you I’ve seen her naked? I just want to publicly thank her for that…

56. Do you know what time it is?
Depends on how close to the speed of light I’m going… nerdy – I know…

57. Do you know all the words to the Fresh Prince Theme Song?
Proudly, no.

58. What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator?
Been there - I live in an old building. Wait patiently and pray I don’t have to go to the bathroom.

59. What’s your favorite kind of gum?
I don’t usually chew it but when I do it’s the peppermint gum from Starbuck’s.

60. T or F: All’s fair in love and war?
Nothing’s fair in anything.

61. Do you have a crush on anyone?
Hmmmmm, someone in my actual day to day life? Not really. Celebrities? Oh yes. Hugh Jackman & Tom Welling top the list of people I'd like to treat like an amusement park for a night.

62. Do you know how to use some words correctly, but not know the meaning?
How is that possible? If I don’t know what it means how can I know if I'm using it correctly?

63. Do you like to sleep?
I love sleeping so very much, and I miss it terribly. I need more of it, but my life right is not conducive to sleeping.

64. Do you know which US states don’t use Daylight Savings Time?
Before this meme made it’s way around I knew it was only 2-3 states but not which ones. Now I know but I wish none of them did.

65. Do you know the song Total Eclipse of the Heart?
Yes, because I make fun of it as positively the WORST song of the entire 80’s, and possibly beyond.

66. Do you want a bright yellow ‘06 mustang?
I would not list this among all the cars I want.

67. What’s something you’ve always wanted?
I want a great many things to varying degrees, most of which I don’t want anymore when I’m not looking at it.
Real things I want are to make enough money to not have to struggle. I want to feel closer to God than I do most of the time. I want a large enough house in a neighborhood I actually like near a good private school for my daughter.
Materially, my strong long-term desires usually involve jewelry: a piece of Faberge guilloche enamelwork  or silver (there’s so much more than eggs!) and a Faberge flower, preferably lily of the valley; a pre-revolution Russian (or of the style) diamond & silver diadem or necklace - how about a hair jewel?; a large, high-quality, color-change stone, like sapphire or alexandrite; better quality that I currently own of ruby and emerald; and a nice, fat, colored diamond in almost anything but yellow (red would be fantastic but I’m snobbish about treated stones and there’s only something like 12 natural red diamonds in the world at this point).

68. Do you have hairy LEGS?
Not if I can help it. My current schedule has definitely put the hurt on my grooming of parts that don’t show, though.

69. Would you rather swim in the ocean or a lake?
Ocean. I’ve lived near it my whole life and I love scuba diving. Lakes are a little on the creepy side for me.

70. Do you wear a lot of black?
Not so much anymore. I did all black for years then I want nothing but color. Now I’m kinda in-between but have more black in my professional (business and rock) wardrobe than my weekend wear.

71. Describe your hair:
Wavy in front to curly in back, growing out almost to the bottom of my shoulder blades now, damaged from years of coloring but in better shape now than in a very long time., currently medium reddish-gold but who knows what it will be next.

72. Do you have Entomophobia?
No, but I still don’t want the f*ckers in my home.

73. Are you an adult?
On the outside.
J

74. Where is/are your best friend(s)?
In my house (hubby),locally in LA, and not so locally in San Francisco.

75. Do you have a tan?
What never? No Never! I am English, Scottish, Welsh, and German. My skin tends toward the blue and when sun touches me I burst into flames.

76. Are you a television addict?
Yes. I love TV but I am very picky about what my daughter watches so I don’t watch any where near as much as I used to.

77. Do you enjoy spending time with your mother?
Every once in a while, yes.
J

78. Are you a sugar freak?
Absolutely. I am a candy junkie and I give up all sweets for Lent every year because giving up anything else is easier, therefore it’s cheating.

79. Do you like orange juice?
Yes, but I like grapefruit and cranberry juices better.

80. What sign are you?
Aries

I am the very model of a modern Major-General, but I prefer Victor Herbert for operetta. :-)
