My condolences to Sewphisticate...
Sep. 6th, 2007 08:33 amMy condolences to
sewphisticate on the passing of your favorite. :-(
Like I said, a voice touched by God with an ease that appealed to opera lovers and non-opera lovers alike. He was able to popularize opera in a way I don't think we'll ever see again, did some very impressive "stunt singing", brought the Neapolitan song book to the masses, and did a great deal of charitable and humanitarian work.
RIP King of the High C's.
