I made my first mock-up of the Diderot stays last night and I think they came out really well. :-) Now I'll try to make a throw-away set to see how they behave with boning in them.

Any reason I shouldn't go with half-boned?

I can't think of any. Half boning is still a lot of boning. Hooray for stays!

Only if you are using reed. It tends to break more in half boned or so I've heard. If you are using steel or cable ties/german boning go for it - that is what I've done on all my stays. :>
